Sue Turner

LITTLE ROCK – Sue Dickinson Turner, 84, of Little Rock passed away Monday, June 8, 2015. She was born Saturday, October 25, 1930 in Newport, Ark. to the late Thomas O. and Marion J. McNeese Dickinson.

Sue retired after 40 years of being an elementary school teacher in the Pine Bluff School District. After retirement, Sue and her husband, Buddy, spent a number of years in their home on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Her last years were spent in Little Rock near her daughter, Tommie Sue. There she was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Sue enjoyed watching sports, mainly basketball and football, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Ole Miss Rebel fan. Animals were special to her, especially her dog Sam. She spent much time decorating her home for her family, particularly at Christmas time, because family was what was most important to her.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years G.W. (Buddy) Turner, Jr.; daughter, Holly Jean Turner Meek, and son G.W. (Chip) Turner III.

Sue is survived by a daughter, Tommie Sue Marsh (Jay), of Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Nanette Stubblefield (Cleve), of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Stevie Wood Campbell (Kyle), Katie Caroline Turner, and Patrick Andrew Turner, and brother Tommy Dickinson (Jodie), of Newport, Ark.

Memorial service will be held at 12, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
