Recently the members of Xi Delta Beta Sorority, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, met at the home of Sara Milner for an evening of business and fellowship.
The night began with a meal of salad, bread and beef stroganoff then finished with coffee and chocolate cake. When the meal was finished, Cindy Richardson called the meeting to order.
Opening Ritual was read and the roll was called. After last month’s minutes were read and approved, Nancy Tucker read a thank-you note received for flowers and a meal sent to Milner after her recent surgery. Cari Cates was welcomed by the group as a new transferee.
The treasurer’s report was then given as well as all the committee reports. The main fundraiser for the month will be the football board for the Super Bowl. Two other fundraisers were planned for the remainder of the year. The Valentine Tea will be held at the Holiday Inn at the mall in the Breakfast Room between 2 and 4. The Valentine Ball will be held on Feb. 18 at the Arsenal at 6 p.m. The tickets may be purchased at the tea.
The next meeting date was confirmed and a cultural program was presented by Milner on “Eight Steps to Keep New Year’s Resolutions”.
The dollar pot drawing was held. Closing Ritual was read, secret sister gifts exchanged and members said their goodnights.
