Neighbor to Neighbor’s Soup to Go fundraiser will feature a variety of homemade soups, including several from local celebrity chefs.
The fundraiser will be held Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 703 W. Third Ave.
Tickets are $7 each, and include a 16-ounce take-out container of soup, crackers and a homemade dessert. Delivery will be available on orders of 10 or more. Also, 32-ounce containers of soup (cold, no sides) made by celebrity chefs will be sold for $10 each.
Soup may be picked up in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal at Third Avenue and Beech Street.
Celebrity soups will include butternut squash donated by Lelan Stice, chicken and rice from Tastesetter Eatery, chili bean from Laura Smart, gumbo by Sissy Jones, potato soup from Pine Bluff Country Club Chef Jamie McAfee, Portuguese green soup by Dr. P.B. and Becky Simpson, spicy vegetable beef from Ryan Ault, roasted red pepper from Chef Jamie McAfee, chicken noodle from Tim Wasson, French onion from Tastesetter Eatery, Italian chicken pasta from Stephanie Frase, Mexican pinto bean from Lala Trevino, sweet corn and ginger from Lil Steak House, and chicken chili from a private donor.
Tickets are available in advance at Neighbor to Neighbor, 1419 Pine St., or from any member of the board of directors. Tickets will also be available at Trinity the day of the event.
All proceeds will benefit Neighbor to Neighbor, which provides food and emergency services to more than 45,000 people in Jefferson County each year.
