The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary held its annual monthly business meeting recently to discuss the results of the annual Christmas luncheon.
This is the main money maker to finance the auxiliary’s projects for the year. These projects include sending more than 20 children to camp, buying gifts for those who were not selected from the Angel Tree and many other community projects.
The next meeting will be held Feb. 14 at the Salvation Corps office, 501 E. 12th Ave. This meeting will be devoted to suggestions and problem-solving for the next annual luncheon. This event has become one of the most well-attended during the holidays, according to Dede Foster, president.
“We will be looking for ways to serve all those who wish to attend the event even though our space is so limited. The support of our members and the entire community is so very appreciated,” she said.
