The “Small Works on Paper” exhibition, an annual touring visual arts show organized by the Arkansas Arts Council, is on display at the University of Arkansas at Monticello through Oct. 28.

The exhibit is in the Glassblock Gallery at the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center at UAM.

Alexia Lams of Pine Bluff is among the artists whose works were chosen for Small Works. Lams is also a graduate student in the master of education degree program at UAM, according to a news release.

Now in its 38th year, “Small Works on Paper” highlights the creative achievements of Arkansas artists through a juried collection of small-format works, with each piece measuring no more than 18 by 24 inches.

This year’s exhibition features 40 pieces by 35 Arkansas artists and will tour nine venues across the state.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. The gallery’s hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.
