Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary holds regular monthly meeting

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary met in December for its regular monthly meeting.

It was reported that the auxiliary had purchased playground equipment for the local corps. It was also reported that the annual fundraiser of the Christmas luncheon was the largest ever held and there was standing-room only.

The committee chairman, Carolyn Uschold, thanked everyone who helped make this such a great success. She said that the auxiliary needs to make some adjustments to accommodate the crowd at the next luncheon.

Dede Foster, president, stated that the next two meetings, January and February, would be devoted to problem-solving and that there would be a question-and-answer period for this.

The auxiliary also helped with taking Angel Tree applications and making distributions. They also took the angels that were not selected and bought presents so that everyone could have something new for Christmas.

The next regular meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at the Corps office, 501 E. 12th Ave. A guest speaker will be present.

Visitors are welcome.
