GROVES, Texas — Peggy Harper age 76, died January 22, 2012 in Groves Texas. Mrs. Harper was born August 18, 1935 in Van Buren, Ark. Parents were the late Roy Robert and Icy Virginia Clegg. She was raised in and attended school in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Harper was a Baptist and a member of the San Fernando Valley Emblem Club.
Two brothers, Roy Clegg, Jr., and Donald Clegg, preceded her in death.
Survivors include husband of 59 years, Richard Harper; daughters, Rachel (Keith) Carter of Pine Bluff and Brenda (Joey) Brewer of Palmdale, Calif.; sisters, Delores (Donny) Koonce of Pine Bluff and Shirley (Henry) Strayhorn of Nederland Texas; a sister-in-law, Renata Clegg of Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Harper was honored by a memorial service on Jan 24, 2012 in Texas.
