The Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host Graduate School Informational Day on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Henderson-Young Business Building.
The day will include informational sessions with speakers on the graduate school process, writing a personal statement and a graduate panel discussion.
Speakers will include Sederick Rice, assistant professor of biology at UAPB, graduate school representatives from UAPB, the University of Mississippi, Harding University, Arkansas State University, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Henderson State University, University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
A free GRE Practice Test will be administered from 1 to 3 p.m. Those interested in taking the practice test must register with Kaplan online at www.kaptest.com/practice, call 1-800-KAP-TEST, or text “PRACTICE” TO 30364. Please register early to ensure your space.
The McNair Scholars Program is one of the seven federally funded TRIO programs, which provides services to low income and/or first-generation college students. These programs are designed to help students overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
