Jerrell E. Bearden, 83, of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015.
Born December 26, 1931 in Jefferson County, he was a son of the late Jerrell G. Bearden and Dorothy Jane Heird Bearden.
Mr. Bearden was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Watson Chapel High School graduate and a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean conflict. He retired as an Engineer in 1996 from the “Cotton Belt” Railroad after 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Josephine Hester Bearden; and an infant son, Michael Edward.
Mr. Bearden is survived by his daughter, Jerri Veazey and husband Perry; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jeni; and many other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Cedar Branch Cemetery with Brother John M. Williams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
