Harold Patterson


STAR CITY – Harold Ellis Patterson, 85 of Star City died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1929 in Hot Springs to the late Charlie and Lillian Branyan Patterson. He was a member of Star City Church of Christ. He was a former member of several Gospel groups, including the Gospel Aires and the Master Tones. He was retired from Mississippi River Fuel as an Operator Technician and retired from Star City Schools as a school bus driver. He was known for being a Christian man who always loved and supported his family.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Euva Patterson; two brothers, Hubert Patterson and Charlie Merle Patterson; and one sister, Louise Harper.

Survivors include two sons, Billy K. Patterson and Dale E. (Lynda Marie) Patterson, both of Glendale; two daughters, Lynda E. Davis of Glendale and Geneva (Wayne) Lay of Russellville; one brother, Roy Eugene Patterson of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren, Suzanne Patterson Lambert of Crestview, Fla., Angelia Leighanne Lewis of Russellville, Jason Lay of Pine Bluff, Adrian Moore of Warren, Dana Patterson Keathley of Glendale, Amanda DeJarnette of Crossett, Elizabeth Puckett of Glendale, Brandon Patterson of Glendale and Heather Patterson Wells of Bryant; 20 great grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Carl Gene Holloway and Bro. Larry Kitchens officiating. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial at New Home Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Charles Wayne Patterson, Roger Harper, Steven Boals, Chase Boals, Nicolas Schmidt, Tyler Harris, Brandon Patterson, Jason Lay and Bobby Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Star City Church of Christ, 25567 US Hwy 425 South, Star City, Ark. 71667.
