“I, Vonysha Goodwin, respectfully announce my reelection bid for the office of Jefferson County Treasurer,” said Goodwin. “Eight years ago, I promised to provide accuracy, transparency and accountability in managing the county’s finances, and I have remained true to that promise.”

Goodwin expressed an appreciation to the residents of Jefferson County for their continued trust in her leadership and stewardship of public funds.

A graduate of Dollarway High School, Goodwin earned a Bachelor of Science in business marketing with an emphasis in finance from the University of Phoenix in 2009. She completed her Master of Science in computer science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2025.

She is also a graduate of Leadership Pine Bluff and the Edward L. Coleman Leadership Institute.

“A dedicated community servant, Goodwin volunteers with several local organizations,” according to the release.

Goodwin is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Omega Omega Chapter, where she currently serves as vice president.

Professionally, Goodwin is affiliated with the Arkansas Treasurer’s Association, the Association of Arkansas Counties, the Jefferson County Democratic Women and the Democratic Central Committee.

A Pine Bluff native, Goodwin is the daughter of Levi and Betty Watson and the late Leo Crane Sr. She is married to Quentin Goodwin, and together they have three children — Ketrin, Quiana and Kiara — and two grandchildren, Lay’ah and Chase.

The party filing period is Nov. 3-11, according to the secretary of state’s office. The primary election is March 3, 2026.
