WHITE HALL – James Robert “J. R.” Murray, age 84, of White Hall, formerly of England and Palestine, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015.
He was born December 25, 1930 at Forrest City, Ark., a son of the late Vennie Crouch Murray and Leonard Murray.
Mr. Murray was an auto mechanic and served in the United States Army and National Guard, both in Arkansas and Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald “Don” Murray; and a grandson Nick Perry.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Perry (Bobby) of Amarillo, Texas, Beverly Clark of White Hall, and Glenda Rayner of Elkhart, Texas; a son, Steve Murray (Michael Williamson) of Sachse, Texas; a sister, Bobbie Ruth Davis (Ed) of North Little Rock; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be Monday, January 26, 2:00 p.m. in Flynn Cemetery at Humphrey with Brother Donnie Gordon officiating. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
