Irma Roaf


WHITE HALL – Irma Ophelia Melvin Roaf entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 27, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones in White Hall, Arkansas. She was born December 4, 1930 to the late Arthur and Charlotte Roaf in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three sons, James Ellison, Demetrius Melvin both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Ricky Robinson of Seattle, Washington. Three daughters Phyllis Newman, Charlotte Love, and Brenda Stewart all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is also blessed to leave to cherish her memory 13 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, and four great- great grandchildren; one brother Clifton Roaf, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three sisters Lucille Early of Little Rock, Arkansas, Joetta Edwards of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Eddie Jean Ward of Los Angeles, California; an uncle; Julius Boughton of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Indiana Street Baptist Church with the Reverend Aaron Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the mortuary on Friday. Mrs. Melvin will lie in repose at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
