Mrs. Gladys Maria Goodwin-Peres, 89, of Pine Bluff formerly of Palo Alto, Calif. was born to the late Joe Warren Goodwin and Emma Redd on November 17, 1926. She departed this life on April 21, 2016.
Gladys attended Merrell High School and received her degree in Nursing from Tuskegee University. She joined St. Bethel Baptist Church when she returned to Arkansas.
She had a passion for reading and traveling, she also had a great love for her pet cat, Bobby.
She is preceded in death by her late Husband, Johnny Peres and Brother, Curtis (Margaret) Goodwin.
She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Elder Charles (Shirley, deceased) Goodwin and Aubrey (Stella Louise) Goodwin of Pine Bluff, Ark., Deotis (Lupe) Goodwin of Calif. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside Memorial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Bellwood Cemetery by Rev. Louis Williams, services by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Ark.
