Fred Sheridan


Fred Sheridan, 84, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Sheridan was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Bauxite, Ark., a son of the late Havis Fred and Thelma Lucille Reid Sheridan. He was reared and received his education in Bauxite, where he attended Bauxite High School. He joined the United States Army and served during the Korean and Vietnam War. After 25 years of service, Mr. Sheridan retired as chief warrant officer.

He was a Baptist who enjoyed woodcrafting and raising birds. He also enjoyed spending time in his “Music Hall” with the people of his community.

Mr. Sheridan is survived by his two daughters, Beverly (Billy) Ketchum of Round Rock, Texas, and Anita (Brian) Sheridan of Austin, Texas; former stepdaughter Tressa Lambert of Pine Bluff; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Joe) Naramore of Benton, Ark.; and his former wife, Loretta Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Travis Sheridan; and an infant grandson.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2015, 10 a.m., in the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with the Rev. Jimmy Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Bauxite.
