Mr. Ernest Jackson, Sr., 87, of Pine Bluff passed Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was born in Altheimer to the late Nora Jackson and Lillie (Pleasant) Farris.
His survivors include Sons, Ernest Jackson, Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., Paul Jackson of Omaha, Neb., Harold Jackson, Christopher Martin both of Pine Bluff, Sharmar Martin of Dallas, Texas; Daughters, Brenda Thornton of New Orleans, La., Rita Jackson-Neal of Pine Bluff, Mary Jackson of Pinole, Calif., Kay Martin of Pine Bluff; 32 Grandchildren, 45 Great-Grandchildren and six Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy L. Fisher. Burial will be in the V.A. Section of Graceland by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday with a Family Hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9:45 a.m. until time of service.
The family will be at 1812 West 13th Avenue, Pine Bluff.
