DUMAS — A 31-year-old Dumas man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Sunday night in Dumas.
According to a preliminary report issued Tuesday by the Arkansas State Police, Tyrone James was northbound on North Oak Street at 9:20 p.m. when the 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass he was driving went through the intersection of West Waterman Street and was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet truck that was eastbound.
Dumas Police officer Dustin H. James reported that the driver of the truck and a passenger, who were not identified in the preliminary report, were not injured.
The death was the 434th reported so far this year on the state’s streets and highways.
