BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH, 1313 S. Pine St., will celebrate its Church Anniversary with Youth Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The speaker is Albert King Jr. of Breath of Life. He is employed by the Department of Workforce Services and is the president of Community Empowerment Council Inc. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, King is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He is political chairperson for the Pine Bluff Branch of the NAACP, where he was awarded the “The Game Changer” award, and is president of the Pine Bluff Northern League Baseball. King is a community leader who’s been married to Lynda King for 38 years. He’s the father of two sons and one daughter. Breath of Life’s pastor is the Rev. Kerry Price Sr.
OLD ST. JAMES MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 4512 S. Ohio St., will observe Black and Gold Sunday during worship at 10 a.m. Sunday in support of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Homecoming. Also, the church will host Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. The free event is for all children and will include food and games.
