The featured speaker will be Dr. Yara Robertson of CARTI Cancer Center. The theme is Faith over Fear (II Tim. 1:7.) St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 S. Catalpa St., will host the next Prayer and Pizza gathering for children from 2-3 p.m. Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be Faydra Haynie, a Heart Corps service member and assistant family life pastor at Full Counsel Church-Pine Bluff. NAACP President Ivan Whitfield will give an update on voter registration, according to a news release. The Prayer and Pizza service allows people to pray for and encourage children. The event is held at a different church once a month and sponsors provide refreshments. Dee Clay is the coordinator.
