DUMAS – Mrs. Alean Jordan, 72 of Dumas, passed Friday, November 21, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born December 13, 1941 in Monroe Louisiana, she was a member of St. John MBC in Mithchellville and a home maker.
Survivors include three sons, Calvin Jordan, Walter L. Jordan, Jr. both of Dumas, Donald E. Jordan of Chicago, four daughters, Diana Jordan, Shirley D. Jordan both of Dumas, Patricia A. Jordan of Chicago, Vester J. Sherrod of Indianapolis, Ind., four brothers, Leroy Freeman of Dumas, Columbus Freeman of Mitchellville, Henry Freeman of Hot Springs, Raymond Freeman of Pine Bluff, five sisters, Louise Burgess, Joyce Webb, Mearl J. Wade all of Dumas, Katie B. Pippers of Little Rock, Willie Mae Freeman of Chicago, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. John Baptist Church in Mitchellville with Rev. T. R. Ramey officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Pickens by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas. Viewing will be Friday at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m.
