Nora Yvonne “Toni” Welch Anderson, 81, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, July 2, 2013.
Born February 15, 1932 at Epps, La., she was a daughter of the late August Welch and Lillie Foutz Welch.
She received her early education and graduated from Linwood where she played basketball and softball, before pursing her nursing career at Kings Daughters Hospital in Greenville, Miss. She retired in 1992 from International Paper Company as the mill nurse after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Anderson was a long time member of South Side Baptist Church. Always looking to stay active in her community, she was a volunteer with the World Changers and the Red Cross, and was known for her love of dancing and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Eleanor “Sis” Stephenson, and Carl, Mack and Tim Welch; two granddaughters, Carol and Cindy.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Dave Anderson, to whom she was married, October 3, 1953; children, David Anderson (Phyllis), Nancy Seiter (Keith), Mark Anderson (Thessa), and Molly Wingard (Richard); eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, 1 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Chapel with Brother Dave Henderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, from noon until service time.
