A woman accused of allowing the suspect in a December convenience store homicide to hide in her home has been booked in the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center.
Omarria Woods, 19, also identified as Omarria Woodus, was located, according to Pine Bluff police, and booked in the jail at 9:02 p.m. Friday. She was arrested on suspicion of hindering apprehension or prosecution, according to jail records.
Police had posted a be-on-the-lookout message for Woods on social media Thursday.
“During an active investigation, Ms. Woodus knowingly allowed a capital murder suspect (Akyell Malik Madison) to hide inside her residence and provided false information to officers, stating no one was inside the residence prior to him being captured inside,” police posted on Facebook. “A firearm was also located at the residence, which Ms. Woodus claimed ownership of.”
North Little Rock police located Madison, 21, on Thursday. Pine Bluff police transported him to the detention center, where he was booked on suspicion of killing Marcus Jackson, 29, at SOS convenience store, 3402 Old Warren Road, on Dec. 30. Madison was charged with one count of first-degree murder, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal mischief.
