A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly fired a shot at a car containing another woman.
When she was interviewed, Mollie Chappell, 32, allegedly denied shooting at the car, saying she did not have her .50-caliber gun in her possession and refused to tell police where the gun was located. She also allegedly refused to submit to a gunshot residue evidence test, Pine Bluff Poli Detective Marcia Oliver said in a probable cause affidavit presented in district court Monday.
According to the affidavit, the shooting occurred in the 5000 block of West 14th Avenue and the alleged victim told police that after Chappell shot at her car, Chappell got out of her vehicle, walked to the victim’s vehicle and said “I will kill you.”
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Chappell after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with committing a terroristic act.
Chappell was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
