Woman accused of hitting another woman with vehicle

A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly hit another woman with a vehicle on the parking lot of Tyson Foods on Oct. 28.

Jazmine Lee, 18, was not questioned about the incident after she asked for an attorney, Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Steve Rucker said in a probable cause affidavit presented in district court Thursday.

According to the affidavit, police were sent to Tyson at 5501 Jefferson Parkway at 2:06 p.m. in response to a reported pedestrian accident. When they arrived, the alleged victim said Lee had hit her with a vehicle and then left the scene.

The female victim said Lee had driven onto the parking lot, where she dropped off another woman, and the female victim said she walked out of the guard shack to confront Lee about being on the property.

Lee allegedly turned around and came back through the lot, and when the victim turned around to talk to a male, Lee allegedly hit her with the vehicle before driving off.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Lee Thursday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with second-degree battery. Lee was also ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.

Lee said she would hire her own attorney.
