SHERIDAN — White Hall spotted Sheridan the first-quarter lead Friday night at Yellowjacket Stadium.
But the final three quarters belonged to the Bulldogs.
Junior running back Irvin Tisdale rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown, Terrance Warren threw a pair of touchdown passes to Percy Arnold and Arnold added a touchdown run as the Bulldogs defeated the Yellowjackets 29-7 in the meeting of Highway 270 rivals.
Tisdale gained his yardage on 19 carries — an average of 9.8 yards per attempt. Warren completed five of eight passes for 97 yards and the two scores to Arnold without an inteception.
Sheridan dominated the first quarter, holding the Bulldogs (2-0) to a net total of minus-1 yard on White Hall’s first two possessions.

The Yellowjackets (1-2) scored the game’s first touchdown on a 5-yard pass from Dylan Flores to Tyler Raney with 1:31 remaining in the quarter. The touchdown capped an 89-yard drive by Sheridan, which converted a fourth-and-3 from the White Hall 41 when Flores found Braden Lunday for a 30-yard gain.
Joe Riggan kicked the extra point to put Sheridan ahead 7-0.
There would be no more highlights for the Yellowjackets.
On White Hall’s next possession after the Sheridan touchdown, the Bulldogs drove from their 35 to the Sheridan 12 before Tyler Carr kicked a 29-yard field goal. The drive was highlighted by a 35-yard Tisdale run, his longest gain of the night.
White Hall forced Sheridan to punt on its next possession, and the Bulldogs took the lead for good with a 69-yard touchdown drive. Tisdale carried twice for 28 yards and Warren had a 13-yard run before finding Arnold for a 33-yard score with 1:43 remaining the half. The Bulldogs’ try for two failed, and White Hall led 9-7 at halftime.
White Hall started its first possession of the second half at its 30, but moved quickly downfield with a 25-yard run by Tisdale and a 15-yard gain from Warren. The Bulldogs converted pair of third downs inside the Sheridan 15, including Tisdale’s 9-yard touchdown run with 7:29 left in the third quarter. Carr kicked the extra point for a 16-7 White Hall lead.
White Hall’s Quinton Winston came up with his second interception of the game early in fourth quarter to give the Bulldogs possession at midfield. After a holding penalty negated what would have been a 23-yard touchdown run by Tisdale, Warren threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Arnold and Carr kicked the extra point to make it 23-7 with 8:53 left in the game.
White Hall’s final score came on a 12-yard run by Arnold with 2:15 remaining, capping a 73-yard drive by the Bulldogs.
White Hall finished with 379 yards of total offense, compared with 223 for Sheridan.
Flores completed 11 of 29 passes for 104 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Lunday rushed for 87 yards on 20 carries for Sheridan.
