PALMYRA – The angels came for Vivian Louise Moring Dutton, age 92 of Palmyra, Ark., Thursday, January 29, 2015. She passed from this life at Lincoln Heights Healthcare in Star City. Vivian was born March 8, 1922, in the McClum community (Indian Bayou) in Jefferson County to the late J.C. and Ponnie Moring. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She loved cooking for them and anyone else that came by. Hamburgers and breakfasts were her specialty. Mother loved going to Lake Chicot fishing and camping with her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. The love of her life was serving Jesus Christ and her family. She knew many songs by heart which she sang until death. Vivian was a member of the Church of Christ at Grady, Ark.
She was married for 60 years to the late Clarence E. Dutton. She had four children, Larry, Garry of Palmyra, Ark., Pam Williams of Claremore, Okla. and the late Tommy Dutton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; a son, Tommy Glen Dutton; two grandsons, Timothy Logue Dutton and Kelly Shannon Dutton and a great grandson, Adison Todd Dutton.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Katie), Garry (Donna) of Palmyra; Pam (Larry) Williams of Claremore, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Leslie Dutton of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Harlan (Dorothy) Moring of Kingsland, Ark. and Herbert (Ollie) Moring of New Edinburg; one sister, Wanda Sue (Jim) Bratton of Banks, Ark.
Visitation will be Friday, January 30 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Palmyra Cemetery with Landon Dutton officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kip, Mark, Todd, Landon, Jared and Derrick Dutton. The family will be at the home of Garry Dutton, 420 Falcon Rd., Palmyra community.
