OMAHA, NEB. – Mrs. Virginia D. Harris, 89, of Omaha, Neb. passed Saturday, June 6, 2015. She was born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Benjamin Harrison Carter and Mattie Fannie (Butler) Cater.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Carroll of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Wayne Gordon Carter of Fairfax. S.C.; one sister, Mary Ellen Hill of Elyria, Ohio; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be 9 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by Reverend Marvin Wiley.
Interment will be in Little Rock National Cemetery-Little Rock, Ark. by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Her body will lie in-state Friday, 8:15 a.m., until service time.
Visitation will be Thursday, 4:30-6:30 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home.
