The Math and Science Pre-College STEM Center at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is planning a STEM Girls Leadership Conference.
The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, in the UAPB STEM Conference Center.
The conference is seeking women from local industries who are interested in being presenters for interactive activities for girls in grades 9-12 to improve their interest in STEM majors and industry careers.
The Math and Science Pre-College STEM Center is recruiting high school students to participate from local and regional school districts and preparing to host up to 78 students from the El Dorado School District.
