The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Jazz Bands II, III and IV will present their 2017 spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 1, in the UAM Fine Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.
The performance will include contemporary and classic jazz tunes, including a jazz arrangement of Leonard Bernstein’s Mambo from West Side Story, When I Fall In Love, and the Beatles’ hit Eleanor Rigby.
Jazz Band II is under the direction of C. E. Askew, Jazz Band III is under the baton of Don Marchand, and Jazz Band IV is directed by Jason Smith.
