Brian Thomas’ senior art thesis exhibition, “Brian the Artist?,” will be on display from April 24-30 in the Glassblock Gallery in the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
A public reception and fashion show featuring Thomas’ original clothing will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 23 in the Spencer Gallery in the fine arts center.
The exhibition combines Thomas’ passions for fashion, food and music, exploring themes of personal and shared journeys through whimsical, vibrant designs. Techniques such as crocheting, sewing and screen printing are employed across the visual works and the culinary and musical components created for the event.
The Glassblock Gallery’s hours are Mondays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
