UAM sets admission, orientation dates

The University of Arkansas at Monticello has announced registration dates for the fall semester at its campuses in Monticello, Crossett and McGehee. Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 19.

The final date for processing applications for admission is Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions and dean of enrollment management.

Registration for first-time freshmen will be Monday, Aug. 17. First-time freshmen and new transfer students at the Crossett and McGehee campuses will attend orientation sessions at 1 p.m. in the student centers on each campus. Freshmen at the Monticello campus have been mailed details regarding orientation sessions.

New transfer students to the Monticello campus are invited to an orientation session at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Specific details were sent by mail.

An open registration will be held at all three campuses from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Late registration begins on Wednesday, Aug. 19, and runs through Friday, Aug. 21, at all three campuses. Students registering during this period will be required to pay a $25 late fee.
