STAR CITY – Truett Brown age, 82, of Star City, Ark., went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Pine Bluff Arkansas.
Truett was born December 1, 1932 in Alexandria, La. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Dolores (Doree) Brown, and one brother, Carroll Brown.
He was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Glendale Arkansas. Truett graduated from Saperta High School 1951. He then went on to serve in the US Army. He retired from International Paper Mill in Pine Bluff, Ark., after 47 years. Truett was a kind, loving, husband and father. He had a great passion for fox hunting and raising his hound dogs.
He is survived by son: Teddy Brown and wife Debbie; grandchildren: Jason Smith and Laura Daniels: Four great grandchildren, sister, Virginia Epps and numerous nieces and nephews,
A graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Mineral Springs Cemetery on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Glendale Arkansas with Pastor Joseph Pemberton officiating.
