TOPPS Inc. will host two free after-school staff training workshops from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, and Thursday, Aug. 24.
Arkansas State University will provide the training for TOPPS (Targeting Our People’s Priorities with Service.) The trainings are open to the public.
Tuesday, the Youth Work Methods will be presented.
“The Youth Work Methods are powerful strategies for working with young people, bringing together over 50 years of experience and the latest research in positive youth development,” according to a news release. “These interactive and hands-on courses provide participants with practical skills that are geared to improve the quality of interactions with youth.”
Thursday, the workshop will address working with students’ learning and homework help.
