A youth talent contest and a pageant will be held at the Cleveland County Bluegrass, Crafts and More Festival on Saturday, May 12 in Rison.
The youth talent competition has been sanctioned by the Mid-South Fair held in Southaven, Miss. (formerly held in Memphis) as an official preliminary to the Mid-South Fair annual contest.
Talent contestants must be between the ages of 13 and 21 as of the opening day of the Mid South Fair (Sept. 21, 2012). The talent competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m. on the newly expanded Cleveland County Fairgrounds stage.
The Miss Bluegrass pageants are for girls ages 4-20 and are divided into five age divisions. It will be onstage pageant wear modeling only for these contests. The pageants are set to begin at 2 p.m. on the Cleveland County Fairground stage.
Both contests are open to any resident who meets the age criteria and are not limited to Cleveland County residents.
