Four high school seniors will receive the 2020 Anthony, Gathen, Rainey and Tolbert Scholarships named for former school district superintendents, according to a news release.
Recipients of the $1,000 scholarships were:
• Ethan White of Pine Bluff High School, who will be attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff;
• Joydyne Carmickle of Dollarway High School, who will be attending UAPB;
• De’ Cortez Dobbs of Dumas High School, who will be attending UAPB;
• Iyania Smith of Warren High School, who will be attending the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
“Retired former superintendents, Frank Anthony – Pine Bluff, Thomas Gathen – Dollarway, David Rainey — Dumas, and Andrew Tolbert — Warren, are pleased with the students selected and wish them the best as they begin their college careers,” according to the release.
