The Jefferson County sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in identifying persons of interest in theft and attempt to use a stolen credit card.
On April 18, a deputy from the sheriff’s office’s Uniformed Patrol Division was dispatched to a residence regarding the breaking and entering of a vehicle, theft of property and an attempt to use a credit card stolen from the vehicle.
Criminal investigators learned that a transaction was made in Benton on the victim’s bank account. Investigators obtained video of the incident showing a white Chevrolet Malibu, unknown license plate, occupied by a female driver and male passenger. The vehicle has damage to the passenger side, including the passenger-side mirror, which appears to have been taped on.
The Criminal Investigation Division is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the persons of interest and/or information regarding the owner and location of the vehicle used.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Dennis Kendall, Criminal Investigation Division supervisor, by email at dennis.kendall@jeffcoso.org, or by contacting the dispatch center, (870) 541-5300.
