A Sheridan man has been named commander of Troop K of the Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol Division at Hot Springs.
Lt. Ron Casey, 49, was also promoted to captain. He is a 23-year veteran of the department. His most recent assignment has been serving as an administrative assistant to the highway patrol division commanders.
The recommendation for promotion was among three submitted to the state police commission Friday for consideration by state police director, Col. Bill Bryant.
