Sarah Louise Lee-Lyons was born August 13, 1929 in Pine Bluff to the late Robert E. Lee and Evelyn Morrison-Lee. She was baptized at the age of thirteen under Rev. S.B. Scott in 1942. She joined the New St. Hurricane Baptist Church in 1947. She served as an usher, Sunday School Teacher, Matron, Church Announcer, and on the Missionary Society. She later moved her membership to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in September 2005 under Rev. Anthony L. Craig. She was the eldest of six children. She received her education in the Pine Bluff Public School System. Issac Lyons her husband and son Allen Johnson preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Elder Eddie(Christine) Lee and West(Cathy) Johnson; Step-son Ricky Savage; Brother Thurman E. Lee all of Indianapolis, Ind.; 16 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Her services will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church by Reverend Anthony Craig at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. The body will lie in state at the church from 11:15 a.m. until time of service.
