Mrs. Ruth M. Lumas, 93, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed March 27, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Lumas and parents, Eddie and Susie Piggee, three brothers and four sisters. Ruth was born April 24, 1921 in Holly Grove, Ark. She moved to Chicago, Ill. at a young age where she graduated from DuSable High School. Ruth worked for forty-four years before retiring and returning to Arkansas. She is survived by three nieces who were in charge of her care, Mary(Nathaniel) Grant, Arwilda(Cleovis) Whiteside, Earnestine Grant and Great Niece, Marian Whiteside Rivers all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas as well as one nephew and eight other nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive M.B.C., 8523 Princeton Pike Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
