Russell “Slim” Lee Davis, of Pine Bluff, was born on May 10, 1948 and passed away June 8, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff. Slim retired after many years of service from Varco Pruden where he worked as a welder. He was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. Slim was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his church.
He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Margaret Davis, of Pine Bluff; step-son, John Barnett, of Pine Bluff; step-daughter Sharon Galaick, of Olympia, Wash.; step-granddaughter, Chenne Galaick; brother Herbert Davis (Jane), of Ft. Smith; two sisters, Betty McKenzie, of Little Rock, and Verna Jean “V.J.” Carter (Herbert), of Marion.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Todd Howard. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
