The Ward 3 community of Pine Bluff received a welcomed boost from Rotary International, according to Councilwoman Lanette Frazier.

Through a grant awarded to the West Pine Bluff Rotary Club, two new benches have been ordered for the Ward 3 Community Park, also known as Bush Park. This donation, Frazier said, represents a small yet meaningful investment in the quality of life for residents and families in the area.

Bush Park, a green space within Ward 3, will provide a place for neighbors to gather, children to play and individuals to enjoy a peaceful moment in nature, Frazier said. The benches will enhance the park’s usability and comfort, giving residents more opportunities to enjoy their surroundings.

“We are truly grateful to Rotary International and the West Pine Bluff Rotary Club for their continued commitment to our community,” said Frazier, who serves Ward 3. “The benches may seem like a simple addition, but they will provide a space for conversation, rest, and community connection. Thank you for sowing into Ward 3 and for believing in the power of small improvements to make a big difference.”

This local grant project is part of Rotary International’s broader mission to support community development and foster civic engagement through service and philanthropy. The collaboration between the international organization and the local Rotary chapter demonstrates the positive change that’s possible when global resources are directed toward local needs, Frazier said.

As Pine Bluff continues its efforts to revitalize neighborhoods and invest in public spaces, this donation is a reminder that community partnerships are essential to lasting progress, Frazier added. Residents are invited to participate by donating or through volunteerism.
