A $1,500 reward is now being offered for information related to the arrest of Thomaz Johnson, a man wanted in connection with the homicide of 29-year-old Jimmie Epperson.
Epperson was found dead Tuesday at 615 S. Missouri St., according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Meanwhile, Johnson’s mother, Sparkle Bankston, was taken into custody Wednesday for hindering apprehension related to the homicide, according to police.
Johnson is a 25-year-old Black male who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. His last known address was 2317 Belair Drive in Pine Bluff.
At approximately 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, Pine Bluff Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on Missouri Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Epperson was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Teddy Spivey.
