The Backwoods Benefit Poultry Show will be held March 3 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds
in Rison. The doors will be open at 9 a.m. for the public to view the poultry and the judging.
This poultry show is sanctioned by the American Poultry Association and the American Bantam
Association.
The Backwoods Benefit Poultry Show is a first in Cleveland County. The proceeds will go toward the education scholarships given by the fair association. There are Open Show Awards and Junior Show Awards and prize money will be given. There will be entries from three states.
Anyone who raises and shows chickens, waterfowl, turkeys, guineas, etc. may enter. The postmarked entry deadline is Feb. 16.
