The Pine Bluff Police Department will sponsor the 2012 fishing derby for children 15 years old and younger and for senior citizens Saturday from 8 am. to 1 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
There will be fish, hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments as well as bounce houses. People are asked to bring their own fishing equipment.
The Great Fish Off will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. and will include police and fire chiefs, elected city and county officials and educators from Dollarway, Pine Bluff and Watson Chapel schools and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
The event is open to the public.
