Pine Bluff Police Department captain finishes FBI academy session

Pine Bluff police Capt. Jason Howard has graduated from Session 297 of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va.

Police Chief Shawn Davis attended the ceremony Wednesday to congratulate Howard and recognize his dedication to professional excellence and leadership, according to a news release.

The academy is internationally recognized as one of the most respected law enforcement leadership programs in the world, according to the release. The academy brings together a select group of law enforcement leaders from across the U.S. and numerous countries for 10 weeks of advanced training in leadership, constitutional law, behavioral science, officer wellness and critical incident management. Graduates join a distinguished global network of law enforcement professionals committed to strengthening policing and public trust.
