The Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service will conduct a pesticide applicator training from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14.
The session is for those who need to be certified or re-certified. Particpants who have received a letter from the Arkansas State Plant Board notifying them that they need to be re-certified, they must do so in order for a new private applicator license will be issued, according to a press release. In order to purchase restricted use chemicals or pesticides, participants must also have a private applicator license.
The cost for the training session is $10 and checks should be made to the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service. To register or for details, contact Anthony Whittington, awhittington@uaex.edu or 870-534-1033.
