Dr. Tamara P. Glover, a licensed clinical social worker, professor, wife, mother, and mental health advocate, was crowned Mrs. USA International Global 2025–2026 in New Orleans on Nov. 9.
Her victory was made even more profound by earning the prestigious Queen of Queens honor for achieving the highest score across all divisions of the competition.
But Dr. Glover’s story is not just about a crown. It is about a woman who turned pain into purpose and now stands on a national stage to help millions of mothers reclaim their hope.
Before the titles and applause, Dr. Glover faced one of the most misunderstood battles a woman can endure: postpartum depression. Yet she chooses a different language when describing that chapter of her life.
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
“I wasn’t just affected by postpartum depression. I was transformed by it,” she shared. “It changed the way I see motherhood, womanhood and mental health. It taught me what it truly means to struggle silently and how powerful it is when a woman finds her voice again.”
Her platform, YES MA’AM: Empowering Mothers, Elevating Mental Health, is more than a message. It is a movement.
Through this initiative, Dr. Glover is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding maternal mental health, encouraging mothers to seek help without guilt or shame, creating community support systems, advocating for stronger maternal mental health policies, and educating families, providers, and leaders nationwide.
Her mission is simple yet transformative: to ensure no mother feels alone in her struggle.
Dr. Glover earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, her master of social work degree from Arkansas State University and her doctor of philosophy degree in social work from Jackson State University.
She also completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, a nationally respected leadership program for rising higher education leaders and administrators.
Dr. Glover serves as an associate professor of social work, a licensed clinical social worker, a national speaker, and co-owner of Fulfilled Life Counseling, where she and her husband provide mental health services to families.
As Mrs. USA International Global, Dr. Glover will travel the country sharing her message of healing and hope.
“If God allowed me to carry this crown, it is because He trusted me to carry His message,” she said. “I am hope in human form, and I want every mother, every woman, every family to know they can rise again.”
In September 2026, Dr. Glover will represent the United States at the International Global Pageant in Malaysia, carrying with her not only a title but a mission with global importance.
Dr. Glover says her story is not about pageantry, but about America’s mothers, America’s families and the quiet battles people face every day. She can be reached at DrTamaraPGlover@gmail.com, and her website is DrTamaraPGlover.com.
