A Pine Bluff woman was shot to death early Monday morning and police are looking for her boyfriend in connection with the incident.
Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley identified the victim as LaRonda McElroy, 28, who was pronounced dead at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at 7:15 a.m. Kelley said the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, and the body was being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
According to a press release from Sgt. David DeFoore, police are looking for Chris Fletcher, 38, who had allegedly been in an altercation with McElroy at 704 W. 29th Ave., and allegedly shot McElroy twice before fleeing. McElroy was found lying in the front yard of the adjoining property.
Fletcher was described as a black male, about 6-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, with gold front teeth. He is possibly driving a 2000 model Ford Mustang with a black convertible top and an off-colored bumper.
DeFoor said Fletcher could be trying to get to California where he has family.
