The Pine Bluff Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will host their annual Mother-Daughter Tea on at 4 p.m. Sunday at Grace Evangelical Baptist Church, 4210 S. Ohio St.
The Mother-Daughter Tea is a community fundraising event. A $5 donation is requested to attend and all proceeds will be donated to Black Girls Rock (BGR) Inc., a nonprofit organization that has been committed to enriching girls through leadership, education and positive identity development since 2006. BGR Inc. provides multiple youth enrichment programs that focus on mentorship, arts, education, cultural exploration and public service.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit public service organization committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service efforts in local communities. Public service programs are based upon a five-point programmatic thrust including economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health and political awareness and involvement.
