The Pine Bluff Police Department will host its 2015 fishing derby at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The event starts with the great fish off from 7-8 a.m. with elected officials, judges, superintendents and others.
The derby continues from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Games will be held and free school supplies will be given away. Refreshments will include fried catfish, hot dogs, hamburgers and chips.
“Bring your own fishing equipment and let the officers show you a fishing good time,” a spokesman said.
